Fou un filòsof i teòleg català que desenvolupà una filosofia interreligiosa i intercultural, amb una nova obertura respectuosa al diàleg amb les tradicions no occidentals. La seva filosofia té com a objectiu transformar la civilització determinada per un sistema occidental imposat com una única alternativa.
