Edit-a-thon and natural parks initiative
Edit-a-thon at Fundació Joan Miró edit
The exhibition about Joan Miró that's been shown at Tate London will be in Barcelona in October, at the Fundació Joan Miró, before travelling to the National Gallery of Art of Washington in 2012. We have reached an agreement with the Fundació Joan Miró to do an experiment with QRpedia codes, linking them to Wikipedia articles.
To encourage locals, on September 14th there will be an edit-a-thon at the museum's library, where Wikimedians and some art history teachers from Barcelona will try to improve Miró-related articles.
Mediterranian Museum edit
We are planning a mid-term collaboration project with the Mediterranian museum of Torroella de Montgrí, in the Costa Brava. We will encourage locals to write about the natural park they live by and also about the traditional fishing techniques. It is a way to promote their library and documentation center and encourage locals into the wikiverse.
