Wikisource Loves Manuscripts updates

• Transkribus, an AI-driven handwritten text recognition (HTR) engine, is now available as a third text recognition engine on 14 Wikisources. Given enough ground truth i.e. scanned images and the corresponding transcribed text, Transkribus is capable of creating an HTR model for any language. More details on Diff.

• Needs assessment survey for Wikisource Loves Manuscripts (WiLMa) Learning Partners Network was publicly launched on 24th July 2024 and closed on 2nd August 2023 with a total of 119 survey respondents from around the world. More details about the network will be shared on project page on Meta-Wiki.
