The Special Barnstar
The 1Lib1Ref campaign was a full success in Polish Wikipedia: 4,376 footnotes in 1,323 articles were added by 42 users!
User:RedaktorGLAM added 2,154 footnotes, followed by User:Bibliograf82, who added 1,726 footnotes. Two online training sessions combined with online edit-a-thons took place, too. It was nice to see many librarians among participants in these events.
The participants of the action who, as part of the action (i.e. by marking the changes with statutory hashtags), source at least 3 articles on Wikipedia, received a special Barnstar. We put them on their discussion pages with additional warm commentary.
The co-organizer of Wikimedia Poland was the Polish Librarians' Association [pl: SBP], with whom we share the history of many great joint actions to improve Wikipedia and teach editing to new users. For the three most active editors of the 1Lib1Ref 2021 event, gifts from WMPL and SBP will be sent soon.
This year, the Change Report was accompanied by an additional hashtag #1Lib1RefCEE, addressed to the CEE community. We are waiting for the official results of the competition in this area!
