Wikimedia Serbia collaborators have published a paper on Students' Attitudes Towards the Use of Wikipedia: A Teaching Tool and a Way to Modernize Teaching, authored by Djordje Stakic, Marija Tasic, Marko Stankovic, and Milena Bogdanovic. The paper was published in the monograph Wikipedia: Twenty Years of Free Knowledge, by the Complutense University of Madrid. This article presents research on students' attitudes towards the use of Wikipedia in teaching. The sample consisted of students from the Faculty of Pedagogy in Vranje, University of Nis. Students were given the opportunity to write articles on Wikipedia as an alternative to writing their standard seminar papers.

The results of the study show that the respondents gave a positive assessment of the use of Wikipedia in teaching. According to the evaluations, students agreed to the assumption that Wikipedia improves the quality of teaching. The research showed that the use of Wikipedia in the classroom encourages students to collaborate and participate in the development of new articles. One of the outcomes of its implementation in teaching is the development of the ability to find quality sources of information. In the paper, it is highlighted that Wikipedia also helps the introduction of new technologies, including the use of the internet sources of information in teaching.
