Description
English: On the night of 7 April 1998, Patrick Stevedores boss Chris Corrigan sacked his entire workforce and started one of the first serious challenges by a corporation to trade union power in Australia. The ABC's 7.30 report captured dramatic footage of the workforce picketing wharves during the waterfront dispute. 7.30 Report: 'Federal Wharves' first broadcast on 21.4.1998 featuring ABC presenter David Hardaker.
