Melodrama about a poet who tries to sell his verses in order to care for his ailing wife. The wife of a poet is seriously ill. When a raven flies inside, the poet writes a poem about it. He then tries to sell his poems to help take care of his sick wife. After being rejected several times, he finally sells his poem. Thrilled, the writer returns to his wife with a basketful of groceries, but he is too late: his wife has died. Inspiration for this film: Poe's poem The Raven.

Melodrama over een dichter die zijn verzen probeert te verkopen om zijn zieke vrouw te verzorgen. De vrouw van een dichter is ernstig ziek. Als er een raaf binnenkomt, schrijft de dichter hier een gedicht over. Vervolgens probeert hij zijn gedichten te verkopen om zijn zieke vrouw te verzorgen. Na enkele keren te zijn afgewezen, verkoopt hij uiteindelijk zijn gedicht. Dolgelukkig gaat de schrijver terug naar zijn vrouw met een mand vol boodschappen, maar hij is te laat: zijn vrouw is overleden. Inspiratie voor deze film: Poe's gedicht The Raven.
