| Description |
English: Right2Know Campaign and other civil society organisations held a demonstration outside Newspaper House in St George’s Mall in Cape Town on 17 December 2013. They were protesting against the replacement of Cape Times editor Alide Dasnois, who was allegedly replaced because of a story she had published on corruption in the awarding of government tenders to a company that owns the Cape Times. Most of the counter-demonstrators in favour of her replacement (waving red, white, and black placards), who appeared unexpectedly at the pre-planned demonstration, appeared to be ANC or trade union members. |
