English: Police open fire on a small group of unarmed protesters from close range, including Ali Salman (secretary general of al-Wefaq) and Hassan al-Marzooq (deputy secretary general of al-Wahdawi). Several members of the group were carrying roses when they were attacked. Ali Salman was hit in the back and shoulder with some type of projectiles, and Hassan al-Marzooq was hit in the neck with a rubber bullet, and also in the leg with some type of weapon. In the same incident, Ali al-Mowali was hit in the head with a stun grenade, and suffered a broken skull.
