Portretrecht/Droit à l'Image/Recht am eigenen Bild:

all participants have waivered "portrait right". Since no one, except the uploader (the man with the white jumper who starts the dance, ie me) is in any way recognizable, portrait right as described under Belgian law does not to apply.

Panorama:

  • there is no panorama right in Belgium. The owner of the dance hall (Pol Vanassche, for vzw Polariteit, Ghent-Belgium) has renounced copy right (e-mail:info@polariteit.be). Since the dance hall is not the subject of the film and there is nothing particular about what is shown of it in the film, panorama restriction under Belgian law does not to apply.
  • text and music have been published in the Soviet Union in 1934, as an integral part of the film Весёлые ребята. As the film was produced by state-owned Mosfilm, this means that they are public domain in Russia (critical dates 1954 and 1950), the European Union and the United States (critical dates 1946 and 1942).
