English: Lake Lucerne side-wheel paddle steamer "Unterwalden" at the "steamer parade" celebrating her comprehensive restoration and re-entering service, 7 May 2011. "Unterwalden" is the only steamer on Lake Lucern which is able to retract her funnel, steering cabin and venting tubes as well as to lower the masts, all in order to pass the low Acheregg bridge near Stansstad. This video shows her with everything retracted/lowered and passing the bridge. As it's the inauguration act after restoration, it's accompanied by water jets from fire engines, which also let their sirens sound. At the moment of passing the bridge, the accompanying steamships (not visible) as well as the "Unterwalden" herself let their steam whistles sound.
Deutsch: Seitenraddampfer "Unterwalden" auf dem Vierwaldstättersee anlässlich der "Dampferparade" zur Feier ihrer umfassenden Restaurierung und der Rückkehr in den Plandienst, 7. Mai 2011. Die "Unterwalden" ist das einzige Dampfschiff auf dem Vierwaldstättersee, das seinen Kamin, das Steuerhaus und die Lüftungsrohre einziehen und die Masten umklappen kann, um die niedrige Achereggbrücke bei Stansstad passieren zu können. Dieses Video zeigt sie mit allem eingezogen/gesenkt beim Passieren der Brücke. Da es sich um den Einweihungsakt nach der Restaurierung handelt, wird mit Wasserfontänen der Feuerwehr ein "Triumphbogen" gebildet, dazu erklingen die Feuerwehrsirenen. Beim Passieren der Brücke sind die Dampfpfeifen der Begleitschiffe (nicht im Bild) und der "Unterwalden" zu hören. |
