English: Supplementary Movie 1 This video contains 3 demonstrations: (1) A prototype of the Transformable Topological Mechanical Metamaterials (TTMM) in its non-polarized state where both edges are soft, (2) transforming the TTMM prototype using its uniform soft twisting, and (3) the TTMM prototype in its polarized state where the two edges have dramatically different stiffness.
