Summary
| Description |
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Prime Minister Drees leaves for Indonesia to hold a meeting with the high representative of the Crown in Batavia, dr. L.J.M. Beel, about the situation surrounding the second politionele actie (police action)over there. Travelling with him is the State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, mr. N.S. Blom. Before he leaves Drees talks to the press in the waiting room of Schiphol Airport. The entire cabinet comes to send him off; the ambassadors of Belgium, France and Canada are also present.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.
Minister-president Drees vertrekt naar Indonesië om met de hoge vertegenwoordiger van de Kroon in Batavia, dr. L.J.M. Beel, besprekingen te voeren over de situatie aldaar ivm de tweede politionele actie. In zijn gezelschap reist mee de staatssecretaris van Buitenlandse Zaken, mr. N.S. Blom. Vóór zijn vertrek staat Drees in een wachtkamer op Schiphol de pers te woord. Het volledige kabinet komt hem uitzwaaien; de ambassadeurs van België, Frankrijk en Canada zijn eveneens aanwezig. |
