Slotemaker de Bruine, speaks from behind his desk in his study room on the occasion of the 50 years existence of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Alternated with shots on the history of the Rijksmuseum and its collection. SHOTS: - Speech; - ext. Trippenhuis; - photo of the building site during the construction of the Rijkskmuseum in 1885; - ext. Rijksmuseum; - several famous paintings from the Dutch Golden Age; - several of the int. of the Rijksmuseum: place of honour with several pieces of pottery, the department of sculpture and applied arts, department of history; - Rembrandtplein Amsterdam with the statue of Rembrandt.
