Wiki Loves Monuments in Africa 2012, a roadway... to victory

While last month we reported about the African contribution to the international photographic contest, earlier this week a better news came in. The jury report awards the 21th place (out of 42) to this picture from South Africa, among the very finalists. The photo was taken by commons:user:Kay-africa almost two years ago and it depicts the base of the Donkin Memorial in Port Elizabeth, a mosaic representing various aspects of past and present life in the area.
