In what has become a long term collaboration effort we completed the third major upload from the Royal Armoury, Skokloster Castle and the Hallwyl Museum (LSH). 6,500 high resolution images were uploaded depicting various objects from the vast collections of the museums. This continues LSH's policy of making their material available in the highest possible resolution, which goes on alongside the ongoing project of digitising their collections. Iterating on what we've learnt from the previous two uploads we managed to streamline many of the steps further thus making the next upload even better. The museum will also publish a blog post on the internal benefits of exposing images and metadata to the public in bulk.
The photo of the taxidermied reindeer is pretty amazing! The video "More real than reality" captures quite well what a GLAM can do with a partnership with Wikimedia. The video was extremely well done and compelling! Can't wait to see the museum's blog post. Thanks for sharing all of this. KLove (WMF) (talk) 00:08, 15 December 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
