WikiCon 2012

The month started out with Wikimedia CH participating in WikiCon 2012 in Dornbirn, Austria, from September 1-2.

Reaching out to GLAMs

Building on the existing collaboration between Wikimedia CH and the University of Neuchâtel in the framework of the Neuchâtel Herbarium Project, September was devoted to reaching out to other GLAMS, including the Botanical Garden and the Zoological Museum in Lausanne as well as the Natural History Museum of Geneva.

Furthermore, a talk on Wikimedia as a platform for science communication was given at CERN, and Wikipedia workshops took place as part of the Solanaceae 2012 conference in Neuchâtel (already in August), at Infocamp 2012 in Chur and at the European Conference on Computational Biology in Basel.
