Main page

edit

I don't understand why Lennart moved everything about Wikipedia back here. If we don't have any Bookshelf main page (but just Wikipedia), how can people discover that there are also other projects? Or do you want to put everything here, without subpages at all? I see that you added also a Wikisource video, but I think that the page would get very confusing. Nemo 11:36, 7 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

The reason why I moved the Wikipedia pages here is that Wikipedia is the biggest project we have. It is very confusing for people not to have any content on the page we direct them to - and the page reorganization was not nearly done which is why the Wikisource video was put here. I will make everything better in a short while, but for now, I will move the things back to the earlier version and start working on making it more easily navigated.//Hannibal (talk) 14:31, 7 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for adding the books, although
  1. we need to provide access to free downloadable copies
  2. the book Wikipedia, by Anthere and Guillaume is missing (it's @ fr.wikibooks). --Elitre (talk) 13:48, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

bookshelf.wikimedia.org

edit

Kind of a minor issue, but bookshelf.wikimedia.org should link to //outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Bookshelf instead of //outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Bookshelf/ to avoid a totally unnecessary redirect. — Waterfox ~talk~ 20:21, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

404 error

edit

The PDF link to "Editing Wikipedia" under Beginners gives a 404 error. Hoping someone can fix it. Thanks! --Tbennert (talk) 17:37, 14 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Is there a place to get preprinted material?

edit

The GLAM project in Philly has some preprinted material, e.g. "Evaluating Wikipedia" used in edit-a-thons. Is there a way to get more? Please contact on E-WP User:Mary Mark Ockerbollom or myself. Smallbones (talk) 20:56, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Anna, you might be able to answer this. Has WMF done a print run lately? Is the Communications team now fielding requests like this?--Ragesoss (talk) 15:53, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Smallbones. We do have preprinted materials available in the office. If you'll please send me an email, I will be happy to arrange a shipment. Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 05:25, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for pinging me here, Ragesoss. The Communications team is not (yet) fielding requests like this to my knowledge. I am still a good point of contact. Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 05:25, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
