Talk:LGBT Outreach Project

I thought the following might be in your line:

en:Leonard Matlovich, the first openly gay US serviceman is buried in the en:Congressional Cemetery. I'm doing a QR codes project there because of all the famous people buried or memorialized there (over 300 Wikipedia articles link to the Cemetery). In the trial run of 6 people (JQ Adams, Henry Clay, John C. Calhoun, Owen Lovejoy), Matlovich was the most popular code to scan. As I posted all 60 codes yesterday, I noticed that Matlovich's grave is surrounded by other gay servicemen's graves, as well as (not 100% sure this is relevant), en:Clyde Tolson's and en:J. Edgar Hoover's graves nearby.

In any case there will be a tour on Tuesday 6:00 pm at Wikimania. More details at http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tours and at GLAM/QR codes/Congressional Cemetery. Any questions, just ask at en:User talk:Smallbones Smallbones (talk) 17:20, 29 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
