Edit-a-thon Le retour de la momie
On Saturday 25 November, Toulouse museums, Georges-Labit and Saint-Raymond, have joined forces to organise an edit-a-thon dedicated to the municipal Egyptian collections. This event marked a new stage in the history of Toulouse's museums: the transfer to the Musée Saint-Raymond of the Egyptian collections of the Musée Georges Labit, where they had been kept since 1949. This represents a return, as the collections had already been part of the Musée saint-Raymond between 1924 and 1949. To mark the occasion, 156 artworks are temporarily displayed as part of the museum's permanent exhibition.
The workshop participants were able to visit the exhibition rooms and then, using the documentation prepared by the Musée Georges-Labit they were encouraged to publish images and resources on the Wikiplatforms (Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, Wiktionary).
