The conference "New Technologies in Education", was held in Belgrade, this year on 8th and 9th of June. On that occasion, Nebojša Ratković, Educational program manager at Wikimedia Serbia, participated at the conference for the second time in a row. He had the opportunity to present the Educational Program of Wikimedia Serbia in the presentation named "Educational Potential of the Wikipedia". Nebojša spoke about the need to modernize the teaching and benefits that Wikipedia offers. He presented the project Wikipedia in schools and the way in which it is implemented. It was also spoken about the challenges and results of the project in Serbia. After presenting the next steps in which the project will develop, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions. The questions were mostly related to the reliability of the information found on Wikipedia, on the use of a script in the context of Wikipedia, content control, and accredited seminars organized by Wikimedia Serbia. This year's conference brought together about 6,500 primary and secondary school teachers and faculty professors making the New Technology Conference in Education the largest educational gathering in the Balkans. New Technologies in Education 2018 was co-organized by the British Council, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
