GLAM Seminar
Ministry of culture and information of Republic of Serbia and Wikimedia Serbia organized a three-day seminar for the representatives of archives, museums and libraries. The seminar represents continuation of cooperation with the Ministry of culture, which started last year. This time an advanced workshop was held, and cultural workers contributed to Serbian Wikipedia with new articles about Serbian cultural heritage. More than 40 people rated this seminar with the highest grades.
Wiki Camp in Trstenik
A three-day Wiki-camp was held in Trstenik, town in south Serbia, as part of the “Wiki Team Trstenik” project. This project is coordinated by the Museum in Trstenik, with the idea to form teams consisting of high school pupils, who will write articles about cultural heritage in this area. The museum will release more then 700 images by the end of the year.
Wikipedian in residence in the Museum of Yugoslavia
Wikipedian in residence in the Museum of Yugoslavia Marko Stanojevic during the month of June has uploaded more then 200 images and wrote 58 new articles in Serbian Wikipedia. From the beginning of his residence until now, Marko wrote 90 articles and uploaded 310 images released by the Museum. Museum of science and technology has joined the project as well, releasing images needed for the illustrations of some articles. The residence will end on July 13th.
