Wiki Loves Art
Wiki Loves Art
Wiki Loves Art is a future project of PhilWiki Community which aims to collect and digitize newly-created art works on portraits of notable people in the field of arts, history among others, living and historical, and add them on Wikipedia articles of notable people who do not have free-licensed images, whose existing or extant photographs are not in public domain, whose portraits can only be produced through artistic expression.
Cavite
At a workshop conducted by the art group Artletics in Cavite, Irvin Sto. Tomas shared about Wikimedia Foundation Grants to the participants composed of artists and cultural workers. He also promoted Wiki Loves Earth Philippines contest to the attendees who are from Cagayan, Cavite, Laguna, Camarines Sur and provinces. Promotional leaflets and stickers were handed out to the participants after the talk. Possible collaborations which came up include an editing workshop among writers in Cavite and participation in upcoming activities namely Wiki Loves Monuments and Wiki Loves Art.
