Wikidata Workshop at Pratt School of Information
Wikimedia NYC and the Semantic Lab at Pratt co-sponsored a Wikidata workshop for aspiring librarians and information workers at the Pratt School of Information. The workshop was attended by 19 people and focused on creating and editing items for Lambda Literary Award recipients.
Wikidata Presentation for the New York Technical Services Librarians
Louize5 and Megs, President of Wikimedia NYC, presented Wikidata at the fall speaker program hosted by the New York Technical Services Librarians (NYTSL), a regional group associated with ALA/ALCTS. There were approximately 45 attendees, and the slides are available online.
Wikipedia Asian Month Edit-a-thon at Asia Art Archive
The Asia Art Archive in America, supported by Wikimedia NYC, took part in a Wikipedia Asian Month Edit-a-thon on exhibition hHistories as a satellite location for main event at the Asia Art Archive in Hong Kong. This was the second edit-a-thon held at the New York space, and was attended by the organization's director.
