Question on a block edit

Hey Érico. I was wondering why you considered this user to be a spambot, as they have yet to edit, and I am not seeing the link between this and the users who look suspicious in the first place. If you could get back to me and let me know, that would be great! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 18:43, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Kevin. This user was blocked on others projects for same reason (mediawiki and es.wikiquote), look this abusefilter log. Apparently this is not a "flashy spam". This style of spam is very similar to others reported here and hence the block. Greetings. Érico Wouters msg 22:54, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
That's true, I forgot they could trip the filters. Thanks, again! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 00:03, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

While I'm here, is there any way to auto-block users which begin with "Ai," since they all seem to be spammers, and it might be easier to get something to do it for us. Thanks, again. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:57, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

This might result in too many false positives, unfortunately... --Rschen7754 06:47, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi, guys. I not am very experienced with abusefilter, but I agree with Rschen7754. Block all accounts starting with "Ai" can cause many false positive (example: "Airon"). Érico Wouters msg 16:04, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
