WMSE is cooperating with the National Library of Sweden to bring more bibliographic data to Wikidata.

This summer marks the beginning of a new project at Wikimedia Sverige. We're working with the National Library of Sweden to upload some of their rich datasets to Wikidata. The Libris database, hosted by the National Library, contains records on millions of books, magazines and articles in the collections of libraries all across Sweden – and it's available as open data. We're starting off by examining the most commonly cited sources on Swedish Wikipedia; with this information in hand, we'll be able to plan our work so that it truly benefits the editor community. While Wikidata already contains the bibliographic data of millions of scientific articles, there's a lot to be done when it comes to books, especially ones relevant to non-English language communities. We're looking forward to making a dent in that.
