Museum tour, WLM, handouts and image donation
Factory museum tour
A wikipedian meet-up ended spontaneously in a guided tour through the factory museum of the pliers factory Knipex in Wuppertal. The team got a lesson about numerous facets of Bergisch economic history, which nowadays seem less spectacular in view of technical progress, but still constitute the "feeling of home" of the Bergisch people.
Cooperation with Graveyard Association for Wiki Loves Monuments
In a Digital Salon the collaboration with the Curatorship of Intangible Heritage Cemetery Culture in Germany was featured and discussed. Volunteers from WLM together with GLAM experts from Wikimedia Germany explained the concept of WLM, Wikipedia and Wikimedia commons to interested participants from the association.
Handouts for dealing with paid editing in the GLAM field
A workshop on dealing with paid editing in the GLAM field was held in Kassel in June. The team developed handouts that are available below on the project page on paid writing. This is in continuation of the upload of coins and paintings by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in August 2022. More images will be uploaded later this summer.
Image upload of the State Institute for Music Research
The State Institute for Music Research, an agency of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, which operates the Berlin Musical Instrument Museum, has uploaded a first batch 422 images of musical instruments. More images will follow later this summer.
