Vogelen in the Rijksmuseum
Vogelen in het Rijksmuseum was an activity organised by the Rijksmuseum in collaboration with Wikimedia Nederland, held on 4 October 2015 on World Animal Day. Other partners in the project were Naturalis Biodiversity Center, VU University Amsterdam, and COMMIT SealincMedia. The activity was organised in the Cuypersbibliotheek of the Rijksmuseum. There enthousiastic bird watchers used a tool, developed by VU University, to select and mark birds on paintings from the collection of the Rijksmuseum as a specific species.
After the various presentations from the several participating organisations, the participants went active with using the tool. The data created with the tool will be converted in a later stage to be used in Wikimedia Commons as well.
After the usage of the tool, a tour through the Rijksmuseum followed along the various birds in the collection of the Rijksmuseum.

Wiki Loves Eemland
This month also Wiki Loves Eemland was organised. It is an ongoing project in the library building Eemhuis in Amersfoort. Every second Friday of the month, Wikipedia volunteers come together to collaborate on Wikipedia, to welcome those interested or new editors or just some fun to chat (and everything in between). The 9 October edition was organised together with the project of the local writing week on Wikipedia about Amersfoort.

Edit-a-thon Ooglijdersgasthuis
Together with the Utrecht University Library and students from Utrecht University an edit-a-thon was organised. The subject was the former Ooglijdersgasthuis in the city of Utrecht. The Ooglijdersgasthuis was in the 19th and 20th century the place where people with eye diseases went to to seek for health care.
