In October, Wikidata passed 15 million items and celebrated its third birthday - congratulations!
Tech developments
- Mobile device users are now redirected to the mobile view automatically (example)
- Mix n Match is now available for mobile
- Wikispecies now has access to sitelinks on Wikidata (as do the Meta and MediaWiki project wikis) - not just for taxons, but for repositories, journals and for biographies of taxonomists
- A new Special:Nearby feature shows items with coordinates, near to the user's location
- 'Harvest templates' - useful new tool to copy data from templates on a Wikipedia, or other sister projects, to Wikidata.

- The birth and death of German playwrights
- How to add dates with undefined calendar (Julian or Gregorian)? is under discussion.
