Wikipedia Education Program Metrics and Activities Meeting
We have discontinued these monthly meetings in favor of a community-run newsletter approach to sharing learnings. Please see Education_Portal/Newsletter.
The Wikipedia Education Program Metrics and Activities Meeting is a monthly gathering of people interested in the global Wikimedia outreach activities at educational institutions. First and foremost the meeting aims at sharing our experiences in the field of university outreach. We want to ensure that best practices and lessons learned get shared across different cultures.
- Target group: Everybody (educators, students, Wikimedia chapters, individual volunteers) who is interested in outreach activities at educational institutions. Our focus will be on the current state of programs that encourage students to write Wikipedia articles as part of their coursework.
- Frequency: monthly
- Duration: not more than one hour
- Led by: rotating (we encourage participants from different countries to lead one of the meetings; this is your meeting – so, take ownership!)
- Type: in-person audio call, video if possible
- Technology: Webex
