On February 11, the first observation of gravitational waves was formally announced. Since the accompanying article was openly licensed, its files were reused in multiple ways across dozens of Wikimedia sites.

Most of these came from PubMed Central through the Open Access Media Importer, whose uploads now total over 21,500.
