Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Heritage Institute and the Wikimedia Czech Republic

The general director of the National Heritage Institute Ms Naďa Goryczková and the chairman of the Wikimedia Czech Republic Vojtěch Dostál are signing the Memorandum of Cooperation.

The Wikimedia Czech Republic cooperates closely with the National Heritage Institute of the Czech Republic since 2012. This cooperation includes the competition Wiki loves monuments, work on the lists of registered cultural monuments of the Czech Republic on Czech Wikipedia, training and lectures for the staff and students of the National Heritage Institute etc. Last month, this cooperation was confirmed by signing the Memorandum of mutual cooperation.

Wikimedia Czech Republic once again actively participated in Museum Night. On June 13, we participated in the Prague Museum Night. In collaboration with the Czech National Library of Technology we provided information on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects to the visitors. We also wrote new articles on technical themes: architecture and car design.

A week later, we attended the Silesian Museum Night at the Silesian Museum in Opava for the fourth time. We created several new articles, the museum released texts and images under a free license. We have planned mutual activities for the next year with the top management of the museum.
