The Macedonian team at Shared Knowledge introduced its first Wikimedian-in-Residence at the National Archives of Macedonia. Memorandum of collaboration was signed on 15th June 2015. Regular day in the Archives
The very next day Wikimedian-in-Residence started with his work. In the National Archives, he has room, desk and space to work, also has help from Archives employee who provides him with the documents, photos and materials. Much more, one woman employee is educated how to edit on Wikipedia, thanks to the project WikiWomen in Macedonia. She is a big help to our Wikipedian also. As we agreed with the Director, first article which has to be improved was the article about the National Archives.
After three weeks, Wikipedia has at least 20 new articles, several improved and at least 20 historical documents uploaded. Some of the documents are dating from 1903 (document about burned villages in Macedonia),, document from the Second World War, etc.
