Europeana Fashion edit-a-thon; Wiki Loves Monuments
Europeana Fashion edit-a-thon MoMu
On Monday 23 September an edit-a-thon was held in the Belgian city Antwerp as cooperation between Fashion Museum Antwerp, Wikimedia Belgium (in founding process) and Wikimedia Netherlands. About 25 participants listened to a presentation about the museum, followed by a presentation about Wikipedia and Wikimedia, and started with editing and writing about Belgian fashion. In between writing sessions the participants had a tour through the museum and were informed about the collection and exhibition of the Belgian fashion.
The edit-a-thon was organized as part of Europeana Fashion and also other organisations were involved. The museum uploaded also images of pieces, see the category on Commons.

Wiki Loves Monuments
On 7 September there was a Wiki Loves Monuments Kick-off meeting and final statutes discussion at the Sint-Gorikshallen / Halles Saint-Géry.
On 28 September 2013 there was a Wiki Loves Monuments Upload marathon at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant in Ghent + a founding meeting.
Some statistics:
For Belgium there were 3210 photos uploaded by 121 participants for a total of more than 13 GB.
There was one participant that uploaded 700 photos.
On the 28th of September there were 422 uploads.
