Welcome to the outreach wiki! We appreciate your interest in taking part. Please have a look at the opportunities page and find an area where you can help. Also check the pages about the our current Bookshelf and Best practices project. And let me know if you need help or if you have questions. --Frank Schulenburg 20:04, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedia LGBT edit

I am reaching out to people who have translated pages here at Wikimedia Outreach to assist with translating pages at Wikimedia LGBT. If you are willing and able, any assistance would be appreciated. If not, I understand. Thanks for your consideration. --Another Believer (talk) 22:46, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

De-sysopping edit

Per Wikimedia:Inactivity policy, your account is due for having advanced user rights removed. If you would like to retain these user rights, please post a message on this talk page and use {{Ping}} to alert me. Note that this message is being sent to several users who are in the same situation and many have never used administrator tools. In the past, community standards were more lax about who received adminship or bureaucratship and between this policy and a further solicitation of consensus, we are reigning in some of the requirements for advanced user rights. You will also be receiving an email from me if you have it enabled. Koavf (talk) 21:28, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Koavf:,
That’s fine with me. I barely edit in this wiki and even less need sysop rights. Thank you for taking care of this.
I must say that the requirements for admin, as discussed, do sound very high to me. I’m not sure who needs sysop on this wiki, but for example racking up 3K edits here sounds really hardcore to me. 10K edits globally also sound high and somehow unfair − why would someone need to be super active elsewhere to get rights here?
That said, I have no special interest in the topic and am thus not planning to engage further in that discussion. :)

Merci. I also felt that they were unnecessary but the chorus of opinions like mine were too late. Koavf (talk) 14:48, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
