Rangilo Gujarati
Welcome
editHello Rangilo Gujarati, and welcome to the Outreach Wiki! Our mission is to recruit and support new Wikimedians and to build strong relationships with cultural and educational institutions. Want to help? Here's some stuff you can do:
- Volunteer to join the outreach team so we know that we're allowed to ask you for help ;-)
- Indicate your languages and skills on your user page so we know how you can best help!
- Review the bookshelf materials, help with localization and add your feedback
- Learn about our work with cultural institutions and join ongoing conversations
- Join the Account Creation Improvement Project, aiming to increase editing by new users
- Start a student club at your university
See the sidebar for some other projects you can get involved in.
The Village pump is a great place to ask questions, but don't hesitate to leave me a note if I can help. Thanks for stopping by – hope you like the place and decide to stay! --Guerillero 18:23, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you, am selected as Campus Ambassador for India Program, so thrilled to start activities around here soon enough. Rangilo Gujarati (talk) 19:35, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Contacts at India universities
editHi Rangilo, congratulations on being selected as a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador! We're excited to have you on board this exciting pilot project in Pune. You mentioned on Frank Schulenburg's talk page that you know some professors in Pune who would be interested in participating in this project. Could you let me know who these professors are, so we may reach out to them? Or, if you prefer to take the lead in reaching out to them, let's chat about how to go about doing that. You can let me know either by leaving a message on my talk page or by emailing me (alin [at] wikimedia [dot] org). Thank you! - Hey, have left you an email, do have a look at it. Thanks Arnav Sonara (talk) 12:11, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Oceania outreach
editDo you have any lesson plans or materials for outreach in creative writing classses? Or for staff presentations on how they can integrate Wikipedia into the classroom? :D --LauraHale (talk) 22:58, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Having this moment where I feel like I was rude and dismissive earlier today. :( It wasn't my intention at all. Any help would be appreciated. :) Any insights you have into running such events would be appreciated. I know what'm trying to do but not all the time and trying to pull it together has moments of stress. --LauraHale (talk) 09:37, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Pune Club
editPlease help me for this one http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Student_Organizations/Clubhouse_Index/Wikipedia_Club_Pune
Wikimania Education Meet-Up
editThanks for signing up on the original Wikimania Education Meet-Up list! I'm really excited to see everyone at Wikimania this year, and I'm starting to plan what we could do and when we could have our Education Meet-Up. I've created a form to collect information] from everyone who's interested in coming on what times work best, what activities people are most interested in during the meet-up, and what everyone's T-shirt size is. :) Please fill out the form, and I look forward to seeing you there! -- LiAnna Davis (WMF) (talk) 21:24, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Recent removal of rights
editHello. I just wanted to leave a formal note as a follow-up to an e-mail that you might received many hours ago about the removal of your rights from this site. Per a admittedly very brief discussion on the Village pump, multiple users supported cleaning up the list, both on and off the page. My goal of doing this was to get a better count of who was an active administrator, as well as purge the list in a move that is in line with other WMF wikis. However, should you still wish to be an administrator on Outreach, please leave me a message on my talk page, and I will promptly restore your rights as soon as I see the message. Thank you for your contributions to this site, and have a great day. Kevin Rutherford (talk)
