The Great American Wikinic was held at many locations, including Central Park (on July 10, 2016).
AfroCrowd
On July 8, 2016, Afrocrowd held an Afro Latino 2016 edit-a-thon at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
Safe and Healthy at Work
On July 15, 2016, there was a Safe and Healthy at Work edit-a-thon at NIOSH, hosted by User:James Hare (NIOSH).
Proposed Amendments
On July 29, 2016, there was a Proposed Amendments edit-a-thon, incorporating source material from the exhibition Amending America, at the National Archives innovation hub, hosted by Dina Herbert. Wikiconference North America
WikiConference North America (formerly WikiConference USA) will be held in San Diego, California on October 7–10, 2016. The grant proposal has been submitted for the conference. There will be scholarships as in the past. Please submit your proposal for talks and workshops before August 31. Check in for more information at the website.
