How to add a languages box to your userpage

Babel user information

en-N	This user has a native understanding of English.

fr-3	Cet utilisateur dispose de connaissances avancées en français.

de-1	Dieser Benutzer beherrscht Deutsch auf grundlegendem Niveau.

Start off with {{#babel:
Next add one of the following codes for each language you speak or understand, separated by |, where xx is the Wikipedia code for the language:
- xx-1 for basic ability – enough to understand written material or simple questions in this language.
- xx-2 for intermediate ability – enough for editing or discussions.
- xx-3 for advanced level – though you can write in this language with no problem, some small errors might occur.
- xx-4 for 'near-native' level – although it's not your first language from birth, your ability is something like that of a native speaker.
- xx or xx-N for native speakers who use a language every day and have a thorough grasp of it, including colloquialisms and idioms.
Then finish by adding closing braces: }}

So, for example, {{#babel:en|fr-3|de-1}} would indicate a native speaker of English with advanced knowledge of French and basic knowledge of German.

These templates add you to the category associated with your level of understanding, and to the overall category for that language.

Languages and skills:

1	This user has a basic level of teaching skills (one year or less as teaching assistant in classroom/college/university or tutoring experience).

2	This user has an intermediate level of teaching skills (More than one year as teaching assistant in classroom/college/university or tutoring experience. At least one year as classroom teacher; might not have teaching certificate).

3	This user has an advanced level of teaching skills (Classroom/college/university teacher 2+ years; might not have teaching certificate).

4	This user has a professional level of teaching skills (Classroom/college/university teacher 5+ years; must have teaching certificate or equivalent qualification).

Languages and skills:

1	This user has a basic level of project management skills (enough to coordinate activities with directions from others).

2	This user has an intermediate level of project management skills (enough to create basic schedules, own basic tasks and communications. Some client contact and management).

3	This user has an advanced level of project management skills (can manage a project alone including small team (up to 10) and client management. Responsible for schedules and budgets).

4	This user has a professional level of project management skills (5+ years experience managing all aspects of a project. Complex risk, resources and client management).

2	This user has an intermediate level of media production skills (audio, video, print, online) (has created materials, implementing a provided design; knows some tools fairly well).

3	This user has an advanced level of media production skills (audio, video, print, online) (has designed materials under someone's supervision; has created these materials; knows production tools very well).

4	This user has a professional level of media production skills (audio, video, print, online) (works independently from design to final output; can manage outside vendors as part of a team; expert with production tools).

Languages and skills:

1	This user has a basic experience level of talking to the press (helped distributing a press release; has written a comment/letter to the editor).

2	This user has an intermediate experience level of talking to the press (has been proofreading a press release; has been responding to press inquiries based on talking point memos).

3	This user has an advanced experience level of talking to the press (has written press releases; has answered press inquiries with individualized responses; has participated in recorded radio/tv interviews).

4	This user has a professional experience level of talking to the press (has written significant amounts of press releases and talking point memos; has given live radio/tv interviews).
